Boswellia serrata, also known as Indian Frankincense, is a species of tree touted to have a multitude of therapeutic properties in humans, particularly for reducing inflammation and pain in joints.
Unlike most joint support supplements on the market, FLEX XT contains patented Boswellin® which contains >75% total boswellic acids and >30% in the form of Acetyl-11-Keto-β-Boswellic Acid (AKBBA). Research demonstrates that boswellic acids, especially AKBBA, are the compounds in Boswellia serrata that have the most pronounced joint-healing effects in humans.
In fact, a recent clinical trial including 30 patients with knee osteoarthritis showed that Boswellin® supplementation significantly reduced both knee inflammation (swelling) and pain in just two months time; patients also had significantly more flexion capability in their knee joints and were able to walk further pain-free.
Be wary of joint supplements that contain generic boswellia extracts with negligible bioactive constituents, as they are essentially useless. This is why we included the preferred, evidence-based Boswellin® ingredient in FLEX XT, at a dose that is backed by clinical research
